Pivot steer training prepares operators to work a pivot steer forklift safely and competently. The pivot steer forklift — often known by the Bendi or Flexi brand names — articulates to work very narrow aisles while still loading lorries outside. It is delivered in-company to HSE’s L117 standard, with an ITSSAR-accredited or KeyOstas in-house certificate on successful assessment.
Under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) and HSE’s L117 Approved Code of Practice, employers must make sure lift-truck operators are adequately trained. Pivot steer trucks let one machine handle both narrow-aisle racking and outdoor loading. The pivot steer forklift — widely known by the Bendi and Flexi brand names — articulates in the middle, so the front truck and mast swing independently of the rear. That one trick lets a single machine do two jobs: work very narrow racked aisles inside, then drive outside to load and unload lorries.
