MEWP training is delivered in-company at three levels. Duration also depends on the platform type — scissor or boom.
MEWP training prepares operators to work a mobile elevating work platform — a scissor lift or cherry picker / boom — safely at height. It is delivered in-company to the Work at Height Regulations and PUWER, with an ITSSAR-accredited or KeyOstas in-house certificate on successful assessment.
Working at height from a MEWP is high-risk work: the Work at Height Regulations 2005 require operators to be competent, and PUWER requires adequate training. The course covers the platform type your operators use — scissor (3A) or boom (3B), static or mobile — including pre-use checks, ground assessment, safe operation and emergency lowering and rescue. KeyOstas delivers it in-company on your own machine.
