KeyOstas is an IOSH-approved training provider and has delivered IOSH courses for many years, for employers in every industry. Six IOSH courses, from board level to the shop floor, run in-company at your premises, as a public course at our UK training centres, or as a live virtual class.
Every IOSH course below is delivered by KeyOstas as a public course, in-company at your premises, or as a live virtual class. Each one ends with a recognised IOSH certificate.
The widely held course for managers and supervisors. Covers risk assessment, controlling hazards, investigating incidents and measuring performance. Ends with a 45-minute test and a workplace risk assessment.
A one-day course for staff at any level. Gives every employee a practical grounding in spotting hazards and working safely. Assessed by a short test and a hazard-spotting exercise.
A one-day update for managers who already hold Managing Safely. Refreshes risk management and current good practice, ideal around every three years.
A short course for directors and senior leaders. Covers the leadership behaviours, legal duties and decisions that set the safety culture from the top.
For board members and senior executives. Sets out how to build health and safety into business strategy, governance and day-to-day decisions.
A one-day environmental awareness course. Covers waste, pollution prevention, energy use and the environmental responsibilities that apply to everyday work.
The right IOSH course depends on the person's role and what they need to do about health and safety.
It follows the role. Working Safely suits all employees. Managing Safely and the Managing Safely Refresher are for managers and supervisors. Leading Safely and Safety for Executives and Directors are for senior leaders and the board.
Anyone with a part to play in workplace health and safety, from new starters to directors. Employers also use them to bring a whole team or site up to the same standard of safety knowledge.
Three ways: a public course on a set date at one of our UK training centres, an in-company course at your premises, or a live virtual class you join online. Most IOSH courses can run in any of the three.
IOSH, the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, is the world's largest professional body for people who work in health and safety. It was founded in 1945 and now has more than 48,000 members across over 130 countries.
IOSH sets standards for the profession, supports its members' professional development, and offers a recognised path from student membership through to Chartered status. Its courses give people at every level a solid, recognised grounding in health and safety, which is why they are taken so widely across UK industry.
KeyOstas is an IOSH-approved training provider and has delivered IOSH courses for many years. Every course we run follows the IOSH syllabus and leads to a recognised IOSH certificate.
Four reasons UK employers choose KeyOstas for their IOSH training.
KeyOstas is approved by IOSH to deliver their courses. Every course follows the official IOSH syllabus and ends with a recognised IOSH certificate.
KeyOstas has trained UK workforces in health and safety for more than 40 years, across construction, manufacturing, utilities, logistics and more.
IOSH courses are led by tutors who have worked in health and safety roles, so the examples and advice come from real workplaces, not just the slides.
In-company courses can use your own procedures, equipment and real tasks, so the training fits the way your people actually work.
It depends on the role. For all employees, IOSH Working Safely gives a one-day grounding in safe working. For managers and supervisors, IOSH Managing Safely is the main three-day course, with a one-day Refresher to keep it current. For directors and senior leaders, Leading Safely and Safety for Executives and Directors cover health and safety at board level.
It varies by course. IOSH Working Safely and most one-level courses run for one day. IOSH Managing Safely is a three-day course. IOSH Leading Safely is a short half-day session aimed at senior leaders.
With a 45-minute multiple-choice test taken at the end of the course, and a practical risk assessment based on your own workplace, which is submitted shortly afterwards.
With a short multiple-choice test and a hazard-spotting exercise, so learners show they can apply what the course covers.
An IOSH certificate does not carry a hard expiry date, but IOSH recommends that managers refresh their knowledge roughly every three years. The IOSH Managing Safely Refresher is built for exactly that.
Yes. Most IOSH courses can be delivered as a live virtual class, led by a real tutor, that you join from anywhere. You can also train in a classroom on a public date, or in-company at your premises.
IOSH Working Safely is a one-day course for all employees and covers safe working for the individual. IOSH Managing Safely is a three-day course for managers and supervisors who are responsible for the health and safety of others.
Public course places start from £208 per person. In-company courses are quoted per course rather than per person, which is usually more cost-effective once you are training several people. Tell us the course and the numbers and we will put a quote together.
