A half-day in-company environmental awareness course — giving your whole workforce a clear understanding of how everyday work affects the environment, and the practical actions that reduce that impact.
Environmental Awareness is delivered in-company — train a whole team or department together in a single half-day.
Environmental Awareness training is a half-day course that gives every employee a working understanding of how an organisation’s activities affect the environment — pollution, resource use and biodiversity — and the practical, everyday actions that reduce that impact. It is delivered in-company and needs no prior knowledge.
Every organisation has an environmental impact — through the energy it uses, the waste it produces and the way it handles materials. Environmental Awareness training builds a shared understanding of that impact across the workforce, so good environmental practice becomes part of how people work day to day. It supports compliance, strengthens an environmental management system, and helps evidence a genuine commitment to sustainability. KeyOstas delivers it in-company at your premises or as a live virtual classroom.
This is an awareness-level course for the whole workforce. If you need a manager-level course or a recognised qualification, a different course fits better.
By the end of the half-day every delegate will understand the organisation’s environmental impact and what they can do about it.
Understand Earth’s natural systems — land, air, water and life — and the importance of biodiversity.
Identify air, water, land and other pollution, and how workplace activities cause it.
Understand renewable and non-renewable resources and the impact of resource depletion.
Understand the key environmental laws — including the Environmental Protection Act 1990 — and the duties they place on the organisation.
Apply practical, everyday actions that prevent damage to the environment.
Understand how ISO 14001 environmental management systems work and your part in them.
The half-day programme is tutor-led and discussion-based, organised into four areas.
This is an awareness course — the focus is understanding and discussion, not a formal exam.
The day opens and closes with an environmental questionnaire, so delegates — and you — can see how understanding has grown.
An interactive half-day — trainer-led sessions, group discussion and real examples from your workplace.
