Tow tractor training prepares operators to work a tow tractor and trailer safely and competently. The tow tractor (or tug) pulls trains of trailers to move goods efficiently around large sites and warehouses. It is delivered in-company to HSE’s L117 standard, with an ITSSAR-accredited or KeyOstas in-house certificate on successful assessment.
Under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) and HSE’s L117 Approved Code of Practice, employers must make sure lift-truck operators are adequately trained. Tow tractors move materials across factories, warehouses, airports and large distribution sites.
